2021 Scholarship Award Winners
Natalie Lockett - DePaul University in Chicago
I am a Junior Real Estate student at DePaul University hoping to go into Brokerage after college. It is a blessing to have been awarded a scholarship and membership from the CoreNet Global-Chicago Chapter. This affirms that I made the right decision to pursue Real Estate as a career. This scholarship takes the financial burden off my mother who is struggling to pay her medical bills after suffering from multiple strokes. A membership with CoreNet Global gives me a unique opportunity to be exposed to the real estate industry in-depth in addition to valuable networking opportunities. I am looking forward to attending CoreNet events in the future.
Cody Powell - DePaul University in Chicago
Cody is a Master of Science in Real Estate student at DePaul University. He looks forward to working in commercial investment, finance and development following graduation.
He is a native of Austin, TX, who transplanted to Chicago in 2019. With a love of Architecture, design and finance, Chicago was a logical move.
His background includes years of experience in corporate commercial architecture for both large and small scale clients, such Google, PMA, and Dell.
The membership in CoreNet is of particular excitement for him because of his affinity towards networking and industry involvement.
On the weekends, Cody can be found working on woodworking projects and spending time exploring new Chicago neighborhoods with his partner Anna.
